A 2022 Zhejiang key R&D "Lingyan" project undertaken by Zhejiang Ouren New Materials Co., Ltd., a wholly owned Fulai subsidiary, has completed acceptance. The project, "Development and Demonstration of Wearable Human Health Monitoring Equipment Based on Flexible Sensing Technology," marks staged progress in flexible sensing and wearable health monitoring.
Acceptance and result confirmation
Public reporting states that the project passed meeting acceptance in July 2025, completed public acceptance notice in August and received its certificate in September. Work covered flexible sensing materials, pressure sensing units, physiological-signal acquisition, health-parameter analysis, application demonstrations and technology transfer.
Balancing performance in flexible pressure sensing units
The hardware used designs including controlled cracks and dual-composite conductive functional layers to balance sensitivity, range and consistency. Flexible materials conform to body surfaces while requiring large-area manufacturability, flex endurance and long-term signal stability.
Large-format coating and material-process research provide a foundation for scale, while productization still requires verification of the wearing structure, packaging, protection and actual environment.
Exploring cuffless pulse-wave acquisition
The project studied a capacitive flexible sensing approach for pulse-wave acquisition, using low loading, compact dimensions and body conformability. Wearable devices must balance comfort and data quality because sensor position, wearing pressure and body motion all affect the result.
From data acquisition to intelligent analysis
The project also studied multi-feature health-parameter extraction and regression analysis, using flexible sensor data for state recognition and parameter estimation and moving the system beyond raw-signal recording toward assisted analysis.
Papers, patents and standards
By acceptance, public reports said the team had published multiple papers, filed and received patents and software copyrights and participated in national and industry standards. These results support continued research into materials, wearable devices and health-monitoring methods.
Wearable health monitoring involves personal data and medical compliance. Research results are not equivalent to a medical diagnostic product; future use still requires product validation, applicable clinical or regulatory processes and real-world evaluation.
