Apex Sensing
CES 2026 was held in Las Vegas in January 2026. Fulai independently developed high-sensitivity flexible sensors were integrated into multiple new-generation dexterous hands. Dynamic operation and real-time interfaces demonstrated contact sensing, pressure feedback and fine manipulation capabilities for robotic electronic skin.
Multi-model integration validates tactile adaptability
Public reports show integrations on dexterous hands with different structures, including 17-degree-of-freedom and 6-degree-of-freedom models. Differences in joints, fingertip curvature, installation space and routing create different requirements for flexibility, dimensions and mechanical adaptation.
Flexible devices follow curved fingertips, finger pads and palms and expand contact coverage without substantially increasing end-effector volume. Multi-model demonstrations show that standard products and custom structures can work together, although production integration still requires mechanical and electrical adaptation to each hand, interface and task.
Real-time pressure distribution and sensing curves
Demonstrations displayed pressure grids and force curves. After contact, arrays transmit regional signals to the acquisition system, and software converts them into heatmaps, regional force values and time curves so developers can observe pressure throughout a grasp.
Real-time data supports not only demonstrations but also calibration, grasp-strategy adjustment and anomaly analysis. When synchronized with vision, joint angles and control commands, tactile data can support slip detection, grip-force adjustment and fine manipulation research.
A system from materials to algorithms
Flexible touch involves sensitive materials, sensor structures, acquisition electronics, protocols, calibration and algorithms. Fulai presented a coordinated material-sensor-acquisition-algorithm chain rather than an isolated device, helping partners shorten the path from sample evaluation to system integration.
Local North American support from Apex Sensing
The Apex Sensing team, a Fulai US subsidiary, provided technical and business support at the show. Fulai plans to use the local team for selection, customization, test validation and after-sales support for North American developers.
Trade-show demonstrations represent a stage of technical and integration progress. Customer programs, delivery scale and product specifications should be confirmed through official company materials and actual validation.
